Vineyard and terroir

The Riesling grows at Tenuta Serra dei Fiori in the municipality of Trezzo Tinella. The vineyard occupies a particularly favourable south-easterly position and exposure. Its high altitude contributes to the wine’s marked freshness. The Langa landscape is described through its marine geological past.

Grapes

100% Riesling Renano.

Vinification

Selected grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. The must is allowed to settle before controlled-temperature fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine remains in stainless steel until bottling, followed by at least six months of maturation in bottle.

Tasting profile

Intense and penetrating. In youth, the nose shows pronounced citrus and green-apple fruit, gaining clear mineral nuances as the wine matures in bottle. The palate is fresh, driven by marked acidity associated with the altitude of the vineyards, with savoury character and good concentration. The finish is stimulating, juicy and stony.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with seafood, from raw fish to more elaborate preparations. Available in 0.75 L bottles.

Label / history

Riesling Renano originated in the cool Rhine and Moselle valleys, while its strength and elegance also find expression in the soils of the Langhe.
