Storia
Tenuta Buon Tempo lies on the southern edge of Montalcino, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate. Its vineyards were farmed on organic principles after several years of steady work to improve grape quality and the surrounding environment, and were officially certified in 2018.
The estate is now owned by Per Landen, a Swedish entrepreneur who also owns vineyards in Bordeaux, France.
Terroir
The estate lies on the southern edge of Montalcino, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in an area regarded as particularly well suited to growing grapes. Its vineyards occupy some of Montalcino's best sites.
Vinificazione
The vineyards are farmed according to organic principles and were officially certified in 2018. Several years of steady work preceded certification, aimed at improving both grape quality and the surrounding environment.
The team, led by oenologist Alberto Machetti, works with winemaking and agronomy professionals including Attilio Pagli and Stefano Bartolomei. Investment continues in the vineyards and winery, and in research.
Filosofia
The owner and team state that they aim to make uncompromising wines of the highest quality and to bring out the full potential of every Montalcino wine produced by the estate.
