Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from three vineyards in the municipality of Erbusco. The vines average 28 years of age and yield approximately 7,400 kg/ha.
Vinification
The grapes undergo a short maceration of only a few hours at 14 °C, giving the base wine its pink colour while preserving its balanced, delicate aroma. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in barrels. The wine is subsequently blended in steel tanks and bottled. Ca' del Bosco uses a patented system to remove yeast sediment without exposing the wine to oxygen, allowing it to avoid added sulfites while maintaining clean, stable flavours.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wine remains in barrels for seven months. Following blending and bottling, it rests on its lees in the cellar for seven years.
Tasting profile
The wine has a balanced, delicate aroma, with harmony and completeness on the palate and clean, stable flavours.
Label / history
The Cuvée Annamaria Clementi range was created in honour of Annamaria Clementi Zanella, mother of Ca' del Bosco founder Maurizio Zanella. The estate's story began in 1965, when she settled in a large house in the woods in Franciacorta; Ca' del Bosco began operating in 1968.
