Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in the hills of Conegliano–Valdobbiadene, at 350–400 metres above sea level, on clay soils. The rows run from north to south, providing even sunlight throughout the day and supporting steady ripening while preserving freshness and varietal character.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in August and September, when sweetness and acidity are balanced, then gently pressed to obtain the most delicate, clean juice. Secondary fermentation follows the extended Charmat method for 30–60 days. Malolactic fermentation is avoided.
Ageing
The wine undergoes no ageing in order to preserve the grape’s natural brightness.
Tasting profile
Fine, persistent bubbles give the wine a delicate, almost lace-like texture. It is fresh and precise, with clean flavours and a balanced, focused structure.
Label / history
The estate’s name derives from the ancient word “Rajo,” meaning Paradise. Ca’di Rajo stands near the Piave River in the province of Treviso. The property includes a church containing an image of the Madonna del Carmine and the remains of a monastery built in 1507. The Cecchetto and Giol families planted vineyards on previously unused land in 1960, and the property passed entirely to the Cecchetto family in 1972.
