Vineyard and terroir

Produced in Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento. The warm, dry climate limits pressure from rot and mildew, while constant winds from Africa help steady temperatures and ventilate the vines. Lake Arancio supplies water and nutrients during severe drought, contributing to fresh fruit character and balanced acidity.

Grapes

100% Nero d’Avola.

Vinification

The grapes are pressed gently to avoid green tannins. Skin contact proceeds at controlled temperature for about 10–12 days, with the must pumped over every four hours.

Ageing

Matured in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting profile

Ruby red with purple highlights. The bouquet combines red fruit with balsamic and floral nuances. The palate is warm and persistent, finishing with a floral note described as wood flower.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with charcuterie, meatballs in tomato sauce, grilled meats or chops.
