Mirapiana Morellino di Scansano DOCG

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in the estate’s vineyards in the Morellino di Scansano area of southern Tuscany, on the hills around the medieval village of Scansano. Sangiovese ripens differently here than farther north, resulting in rounder, more savoury wines.

Vinification

Traditional red-wine methods are combined with modern technology. The temperature is kept as low as possible throughout production to preserve bright fruit aromas.

Ageing

The wine rests for 12 months in oak barrels.
