Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Piedmont at 630 m above sea level, in soils composed of 12% clay, 57% sand and 31% silt. The first vines in these vineyards were planted in 1992.
Vinification
Traditional vinification includes a short period of skin maceration, followed by low-temperature fermentation in stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures on the lees for three months, then spends a further six months in steel tanks before bottling.
Label / history
The vineyards produced their first harvest in 1996.
