Vineyard and terroir
Bricco Rocche is Barolo’s smallest MGA, situated between the Villero and Rocche Castiglione vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, at the heart of the denomination. The Ceretto family has owned the site exclusively since the mid-1970s.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported carefully to the winery for pressing. Spontaneous fermentation is followed by 30–35 days of maceration in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to barrels, where malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in 300-litre barrels, followed by two years in large botti, 10% of which are new, and one year in bottle.
Tasting profile
Harmonious, refined and powerful, with distinctive elegance, complexity and richness.
Label / history
The dedicated Castiglione Falletto estate was built in 1982 to vinify grapes from local Barolo vineyards. It was expanded in 2000 with a modern glass cube integrated into the surrounding hills.
