Label / history

First produced in 1977, the wine is made at Vignaioli di Santo Stefano. The winery was founded by the Ceretto brothers with Sergio Santi and Andrea and Gianpiero Scavino in the village where Riccardo Ceretto was born. It was established to focus on Muscat wine at a time when the grape had mainly been used for mass production.

Around 250,000 bottles are produced annually. The distinctive bottle takes its shape and classical proportions from ancient Greek columns. Its label features asymmetrically nested, stylised circles that suggest a waxing moon and refer to The Moon and the Bonfires by Piedmontese writer Cesare Pavese.
