The production area is Montepulciano, in the province of Siena.

Sangiovese with other grape varieties traditionally used in the area.

Vinification

Fermentation and maceration take place at a controlled 24–26°C, with daily pumping over.

Ageing

After racking, the wine matures for at least four months.

Tasting profile

A light, fragrant and approachable red. Intense black-cherry and cherry aromas are followed by delicate balsamic and herbaceous nuances on the finish. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with good persistence.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C in medium-sized glasses. Pair with pasta dressed with meat or mushroom sauces, veal stew or roast chicken.
