Storia
1975
Otello Fabiani bought the farm in the Castagneto Carducci area out of his deep love for this land.
2001
Carlo's daughter, Laura Fabiani, began managing the company with passion, energy, and determination, making a major contribution to the development of its production.
2017
The underground cellar was completely modernized and fitted with up-to-date equipment and its own bottling and labelling line.
Terroir
The estate lies on a fossilized riverbed and the slopes near the medieval town of Castagneto Carducci. It benefits from refreshing sea breezes, abundant light, and clay and sandy soils, which together create almost ideal conditions for growing vines. The vineyards are located along Via Bolgherese, home to some of Italy's best-known wineries.
Vinificazione
The vines are around 18 years old on average, with a planting density of about 5500 vines per hectare.
The winery has a modern underground cellar, which helps maintain the ideal temperature for winemaking and ageing. In 2017, the cellar was completely modernized and fitted with up-to-date equipment and its own bottling and labelling line. The wines are made in new concrete tanks and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, including one fully isolated tank dedicated to white wine production, as well as in French oak barrels.
Filosofia
The winery describes a harmonious relationship between people and nature as central to protecting and preserving the character of its wines. Otello Fabiani's decision to buy the farm in 1975 stemmed from his deep love for the Castagneto Carducci land.
