Storia
1890
The family business began when Giuseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the winery's current owners, started growing grapes and making his own wines in Barolo, a village in the Langhe region, whose wines became so highly regarded that Barolo came to be known as the "king of wines."
Second generation
Giuseppe's son, Giacomo Damilano, shared his passion for winemaking with his children and taught them every part of the craft, from choosing and caring for the best vineyards to positioning bottles correctly in the cellar. Over time, the small Damilano estate grew into a notable winery while remaining true to its family traditions.
1997
The winery passed to Giacomo's great-grandchildren, Paolo, Mario and Guido, the fourth generation of the Damilano family. They brought fresh energy and a modern outlook to the business while continuing to care for the vines that thrive in Barolo's distinctive land.
