Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from estate vineyards in Niscemi, in the province of Caltanissetta, at 100 m above sea level. The vines are trained to spurred cordon at a density of 6,000 plants per hectare, with a yield of 60 quintals per hectare. Harvest takes place in the final week of September.

Grapes

100% Nero d’Avola. The wine is presented as a pure expression of the variety, combining elegance with the capacity to develop over time.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by complete malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures for 10 months in barriques, half new and half second-use, followed by eight months in bottle.

Technical data

Sicilia DOC. Available format: 0.75 L.
