Vineyard and terroir
The Nerello Mascalese grows in the vineyards of Villa Contrada Santo Spirito di Passopisciaro, at an altitude of 700 m, in a warm, sunny climate.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 15 days, with frequent pumping over.
Ageing
The wine matures in large oak barrels for at least 18 months, followed by 6–8 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Rich, firm and concentrated, with a clear expression of Etna’s terroir.
