Storia
1709\nThe main building of Fattoria Fibbiano, a historic farm in western Tuscany along the Wine Road of the Pisan Hills, dates back to this year.\n\n### Mid-1960s\nThe Cantoni family bought the property.\n\n### Since acquisition\nGiuseppe Cantoni and his two sons, Nicola and Matteo, completely reorganized the estate. Today it is a full-scale complex focused on agritourism, which is popular in Italy. Like other estates around the town of Terricciola, known as the "City of Wine," Fattoria Fibbiano also makes wine.
Terroir
Fattoria Fibbiano lies in western Tuscany, along the Wine Road of the Pisan Hills, near the town of Terricciola, known as the "City of Wine." The vineyards sit on top of a hill, on clay soils containing marine deposits.
Vinificazione
The estate runs a vineyard program aimed at reducing the use of chemicals, both for fertilizing the soil and for protecting the vines from diseases and pests.
A small, close-knit team makes the wines under the guidance of agronomist Alfredo Toccini and oenologist Emiliano Falsini. The estate produces around 60,000 bottles a year; most are enjoyed or purchased by tourists visiting the agritourism complex, while the rest are sold to regular customers and other wine lovers.
Filosofia
The Cantoni family wants its wines to be good for people's health and to show a clear sense of their terroir. Although Fattoria Fibbiano's wines are not yet widely known, the estate notes that they attract more fans each year for their distinctive character, rich, clean aromas, and fresh, well-balanced taste.
