Storia
1978
Gemma’s story began when its founder and owner, Silvano Piacentini, opened a new winery in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba. It was set up near the medieval castle in an old winemaking facility that had previously belonged to the Marquises of Falletti. Piacentini restored the historic cellars and equipped them with modern technology.

2012

Today
The second generation of the Piacentini family is taking over the management of the company. Silvano’s son, Luigi, is responsible for marketing and the business side of the winery.
