Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Serra area of Serralunga d’Alba. The vines were planted in 1984, 1996 and 2003.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-October. The must ferments in cement vats for around 28 days, with daily pumping over.
Ageing
Depending on the vintage, the wine matures for 18–36 months in 25- and 50-hectolitre French oak barrels made from timber sourced from the forests of Fontainebleau.
