Storia

The 1980s

Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto, a farmer, agronomist and the founder of the company, began moving toward organic farming methods after noticing that the vitality of his land was declining.

2000

Francesco's study of Rudolf Steiner's cultural legacy led him to introduce biodynamic methods to the estate.

After several years of biodynamic farming

Having followed biodynamic principles for several years, Francesco felt that something was still missing. Drawing on the philosophy of Masanobu Fukuoka, he developed a fully sustainable approach to agriculture.

Today

Francesco runs the company with his wife, Anna Maria, and their four children, Carlo Nazareno, Domenico, Andrea and Maria Clelia. Their combined efforts made it possible to build a modern winery and to produce natural wines without using any chemicals. With Francesco Valentino at the helm, the energy and enthusiasm of the new generation have brought fresh momentum and vitality to the company.

The estate's farming evolved from organic methods, adopted from the 1980s, to biodynamic methods introduced in 2000 following the study of Rudolf Steiner's cultural legacy, and finally to a fully sustainable approach developed later by drawing on the philosophy of Masanobu Fukuoka. The current approach produces natural wines without the use of any chemicals.

Filosofia

The estate's approach reflects a progression in Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto's thinking: from organic farming adopted after observing his land's declining vitality, to biodynamic principles inspired by Rudolf Steiner, and finally to a fully sustainable philosophy drawn from Masanobu Fukuoka after he felt biodynamic farming still left something missing. The family holds that their combined efforts, together with the energy and enthusiasm of the new generation, bring fresh momentum and vitality to the company as it produces natural wines without chemicals.
