Storia
La Collina di Dioniso grew out of Fabio Oberto's decision to branch out from the family business, Andrea Oberto. Andrea and Fabio worked together successfully for more than 22 years. Fabio then brought his energy, professional experience, and determination to developing his own winemaking project, La Collina di Dioniso.
Terroir
The name La Collina di Dioniso refers to Langhe, an Italian wine region known for its gentle hills and wines that reflect their terroir.
Filosofia
The company's name means "The Hills of Dionysus" in Italian, invoking Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of winemaking, celebration, inspiration, and sacred madness, to bring good fortune to the venture, on the view that however skilled and experienced the professionals may be, everyone needs a little luck when setting out on the risky voyage of modern business.
