Storia
Early 20th century
Giovanni and Teresa Cotroneo founded a farm. By acquiring new land in the Ciurica, Rivolta and Roseto areas, they built one of the largest and most productive farms in the province of Benevento.
After their deaths
More than 120 hectares of land were divided among their eight children.
1991
Two brothers, Mario and Bruno, decided to combine their land in a company called Ciurrica SNC, which grew grapes and sold them to other winemakers.
1997
Paolo, a third-generation member of the Cotroneo family, recognized the quality of the family vineyards and decided to make his own wine, marking the beginning of Fattoria La Rivolta. That same year, Paolo, his sisters Giovanna and Gabriella, and his cousin Giancarlo began restoring a large eighteenth-century stone house and turning it into a winery, while also restructuring the vineyards. Following this work, the vineyards received organic certification.
2001
The first bottle bearing the Cotroneo family name was released in January 2001.
2004
By 2004, Fattoria La Rivolta wines were being exported beyond Italy; today they are available in many countries around the world.
