Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard is planted on marly soil of Eocene origin at a density of 4,200 vines per hectare and trained to unilateral Guyot.
Grapes
Made exclusively from the native Friulano variety.
Vinification
Fully ripe bunches are harvested in late September and pressed whole. Slow fermentation proceeds in stainless-steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature no higher than 17°C.
Ageing
After racking, the wine remains on its fine lees until spring, with regular bâtonnage. The cuvée is assembled in late spring and continues maturing in stainless steel until bottling. It then rests horizontally in bottle for six months before release.
Technical data
Friulano DOC Friuli Colli Orientali. Alcohol: 13.5% vol.
Tasting profile
Deep straw yellow with golden reflections. Aromas recall wild flowers, hay and almond. The palate is soft and well balanced, echoing the wine’s floral and almond-toned bouquet.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with Prosciutto di San Daniele, fresh Montasio cheese or substantial first courses.
