Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on sandy soils with limestone deposits. The Le Macchiole estate is situated in the heart of the Bolgheri area, about 5 km from the sea.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by fermentation and 15 days of maceration in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months: 20% in concrete tanks and 80% in oak barrels. The 2018 vintage was bottled on 11 December 2019.
