Vineyard and terroir
ContradaGranda Brut brings together grapes from several parts of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills. Ogliano contributes complexity and intense fruit aromas, Solighetto supplies floral nuances, and Rolle adds pronounced acidity. Harvest is manual into crates from the end of August to the beginning of September, with selection both on the vine and at the winery.
Vinification
Gravity-flow white vinification takes place off the skins at a controlled 15–18°C. Secondary fermentation and maturation on selected yeasts proceed in pressure tanks at 13–14°C for approximately 90 days.
Ageing
The wine ages for approximately one month before release following its 90-day secondary-fermentation and maturation period.
Technical data
Residual sugar is 8 g/L, alcohol 11.5% and bottle pressure 5.0 atm. Available formats are 0.75 L and 1.5 L.
Tasting profile
Pale yellow with greenish highlights, the wine displays a fine, persistent perlage. Its delicate, refined bouquet initially recalls fresh grapes, Golden Delicious apple, lime and pink grapefruit, then develops riper pear, plum and white-melon tones with wisteria. The palate is creamy and intense, with a balanced structure and a harmonious, elegant finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 6–8°C.
