Tenuta Pfitscher was founded in 1861, in a landscape of white peaks, dense forests, clear rivers, mountain lakes and terraced vineyards. The winery is in the municipality of Montagna.

Klaus Pfitscher

Klaus Pfitscher took over the winery in 1978. He studied the local soils, the Alpine climate and the landscape of steep slopes, and combined experience with innovation to bring out the potential of the vines.

Today

The winery is run by the seventh generation of the family.

The winery is in the municipality of Montagna, in South Tyrol, in a landscape of white peaks, dense forests, clear rivers, mountain lakes and terraced vineyards. The climate is Alpine and the slopes are steep. The vineyards lie between 300 and 900 m above sea level.

The family follows sustainable farming principles: gentle soil cultivation, compost applied every year, regular renewal of cover crops and planting of hedges. Grapes are harvested by hand.

Every stage of production, from hand harvesting to bottling, is carried out with meticulous care. The wines are described as complex and powerful, with an authentic character.
