Vineyard and terroir
The 0.30 ha vineyard registered for Moscadello lies at an average altitude of 350 m above sea level. Its soils consist of galestro and alberese—marly and limestone components—and the planting density is 4,400 vines per hectare. The vines are spur-cordon trained at a height of 0.80 m.
Grapes
100% Moscato.
Vinification
The grapes dry naturally on the vine for approximately two months. They are then gently pressed, and alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in French oak barriques.
Technical data
Production is stated as 10 hl, with 2,000 bottles available.
Tasting profile
Soft golden-yellow in colour. The aromatic nose shows floral scents. On the palate, its sweetness is balanced by a velvety, elegant texture.
