Vineyard and terroir
The 0.70 ha vineyard is situated in Fausoni, Neive. Of this area, 0.30 ha faces south and 0.40 ha faces west. The deep clay-and-limestone soil contains light sandy strata, contributing a softer, more elegant and spicy expression.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature for 22–26 days. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine matures for 14–18 months in wooden vessels of different capacities, including barriques, tonneaux and small casks. It then rests in bottle for several months before release. The initially powerful, rugged tannins evolve towards balance during the comparatively short period in small wooden vessels.
Tasting profile
A distinctly spicy expression marked by liquorice and cocoa. It has a strong personality, while finesse and elegance revolve around its spice notes. The lighter, well-exposed soil contributes to this character.

Ideal with substantial, refined meat dishes, braised preparations, mature cheeses and game.
