Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from 0.40 ha in Montestefano with a fully southern exposure. Rich, deep clay-and-limestone soil contributes pronounced tannic structure and finesse.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature for 22–26 days. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine matures for 14–18 months in wooden vessels of different capacities, including barriques, tonneaux and small casks. It subsequently rests in bottle for several months before release.
Tasting profile
Elegance and finesse are matched by structure, persistence and a distinctive, highly expressive character shaped by the terroir and exposure. Rose, violet, liquorice and chocolate notes emerge with time. The palate is notably persistent, and the wine is long-lived.
Serving and pairing
Recommended with substantial, refined dishes such as red meats, braised preparations and mature cheeses.
