Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from seven plots with a combined area of no more than 3 ha. The variety has adapted well to the local climate and soils.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for 12 months in 25 hl wooden barrels.
Tasting profile
The nose is fruity. The palate is focused and velvety, led by citrus with notes of golden apple and tropical fruit.
Label / history
“Settevigne”, also rendered as “Siet Vignis”, takes its name from the seven vineyard plots. The estate regards Chardonnay as native to Friuli, noting that it has been present in Gorizia for more than 150 years.
