Vineyard and terroir
The wine is selected from the best grapes grown on the San Benedetto estate, in the historic core of the Lugana denomination south of Lake Garda. The vineyards lie between Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano at 60–80 m above sea level, on Cretaceous clay soils. The vines average 30 years of age and are Guyot-trained with 8–10 buds per plant. Yield is 100 quintals per hectare.

100% Trebbiano di Lugana.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually during the final ten days of September and first ten days of October. Soft pressing is followed by fermentation for 15–20 days in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 16–18 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for 4–5 months in stainless steel and then for 2–3 months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow with greenish highlights. The aroma is delicate and pleasant. The palate is fresh, soft and caressing, yet full-bodied, moving through dried apple, pineapple, pear and vanilla. The finish is long and bright, with a lingering aftertaste.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 9–10 °C. Suitable as an aperitif and with starters, fish and cold dishes.
