Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Currà in Neive.

Grapes

Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Meticulous grape selection is followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. The wine macerates on the skins, including a period with the cap submerged, and is then racked into wood, where malolactic fermentation is completed.

Ageing

After vinification, the wine rests in bottle for approximately one additional year to develop its full expression.

Tasting profile

The palate gradually reveals evolved notes of menthol, liquorice and anise within a tannic structure and fleshy fruit. Currà unfolds more slowly than the other Barbaresco wines. It is enveloping, with vigorous, persistent tannins accompanied by violet and red-fruit nuances.
