The grapes come from Neive. The Riserva was conceived as a premium selection from the estate’s oldest vineyards, with the aim of expressing cru identity and terroir as clearly as possible.

The 2016 vintage marked a turning point for Sottimano. Meticulous, rigorous organic work in the vineyards produced a more decisive expression of the individual crus and their terroirs—an approach subsequently reinforced in later vintages. This development led to the creation of the Riserva as a premium selection based on the oldest vineyards.
