Origins\nLa Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta is one of the oldest wine estates in the Montepulciano area. Alongside wine, it also makes other products traditionally associated with Tuscany.\n\n### 1864\nThe estate's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano won first prize at the International Fair in Turin. A few very old bottles from that era are still kept in the estate's cellars.\n\n### Family succession\nThe estate is today run by Marco, Vanozza and Galdina della Seta Ferrari Corbelli, who inherited it from their father, Giorgio.\n\n### 2013 – Renewal\nA period of renewal began at the estate. A new winery was built, while the old winery continues to be used for aging the wines. The company has always worked with respected winemakers, including Nicolò d'Afflitto and Beppe Rigoli.

The vines grow on the clay and silt soils of the Gracciano hills, one of Montepulciano's oldest and most highly regarded areas. The favorable conditions there, combined with a long local tradition of winemaking, are described as producing wines of outstanding quality.

The estate's wines are made using native grape varieties, with production described as respecting the terroir of the Gracciano hills.
