Vineyard and terroir
The Tenuta Vignega vineyards are located in Pescantina, adjoining Sant’Ambrogio in the Valpolicella Classica area, at 140 m above sea level. The well-drained soil contains gravelly skeletal material over limestone bedrock. Its calcareous texture can retain moisture and release it in dry periods. Ventilation from the nearby Prealps contributes to a mild, dry climate. The vineyards are south-facing and have been certified organic by BIOS since 1999.
