Terre del Marchesato

1954: the foundation

Emilio Fuselli founded Terre del Marchesato in 1954, starting with a plot of land in Bolgheri bought from Marquis Incisa della Rocchetta. The land was farmed, notably to produce olive oil from the family's own harvest.

Maurizio Fuselli takes over

The founder's grandson, Maurizio Fuselli, took over the business after 10 years of hands-on experience at the Marchesi Antinori winery. He saw the potential of the land and planted vines. He then built the estate's first winery, small but innovative, combining tradition with modern technology.

2003: the first wine

The first wine, "Emilio Primo", was released in 2003 and named after Maurizio's grandfather, Emilio Fuselli. The estate's wines have since received a number of prizes and awards.

The estate is in Bolgheri. The original plot was bought from Marquis Incisa della Rocchetta.
