Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on steep slopes in the Greve area, at the heart of the hilly Chianti region of central Tuscany. The soils consist of quartzitic blue-grey sandstone with layers of sand and calcareous material. Vines are trained to a simple Guyot system, retaining no more than five to eight buds per vine.
