Storia
1990s: arrival in Montalcino
The Vallone family moved to Montalcino in the 1990s. Pasquale Vallone, then a bank manager, had always been interested in growing grapes and fell in love with the wild, unspoilt landscape in the southeast of the region. Its microclimate, soil and exposure made it well suited to vineyards, so the family decided to buy the land. Pasquale, his wife Piera and their children Francesca and Federico planted 10 hectares of vines. Pasquale's brother Gaetano later joined them.
2002: first wine
In 2002 the family made its first wine, a Brunello.
