Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

Produced from selected parcels in the Valpolicella vineyards.

Grapes

60% Corvina, 30% Rondinella and 10% Molinara. Molinara is retained for the fresh herbal character it contributes alongside the crisp red-fruit profile of Corvina and Rondinella.

Vinification

Fermentation lasts 12 days under temperature control at 25–30 °C.

Ageing

The wine matures for six months in stainless steel. Some vintages also spend a short period in large Slavonian oak casks.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12% vol. Bottle formats: 375 ml and 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Intense, transparent ruby red. Fragrant aromas evoke crisp cherries and other red fruits. The palate is fresh and balanced, with an agile structure, clearly defined fruit and a pleasantly persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 14–16 °C. Its light, versatile style suits pasta and other first courses, white-meat dishes, fresh to medium-aged cheeses, and richly topped pizza.

Label / history

Tommasi has produced Valpolicella since 1902, presenting it as a traditional, accessible expression intended for enjoyment while young.
