Ancient origins

According to the Roman historian Florus, wine was made in Valpantena as far back as ancient Roman times.

1617

Adriano Grandi described the beauty of the Valpantena area as resembling a painted canvas.

1958 – founding

Cantina Valpantena was founded as a cooperative by several winemakers.

Today

The cooperative brings together around 300 farms, with about 600 ha of vineyards between them. It produces wine under two brands, Torre del Falasco and Alfabeto, and also makes olive oil that is well known throughout Italy.

Valpantena lies in the Valpolicella area of Verona, a district with a long connection to grape growing and winemaking.
