Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Morellino di Scansano production area in the heart of the Maremma, in the Province of Grosseto. Vigne a Porrona lies near Cinigiano, between the Ombrone Valley, Val d’Orcia and the western slopes of Monte Amiata. Its hilly setting and marked temperature variation help preserve Sangiovese’s freshness.
Grapes
Predominantly Sangiovese. The wine presents the variety in a youthful, fresh and fruit-led Maremma style, with evident yet restrained tannins.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel.

Maturation takes place in stainless steel.

Alcohol: 13.5%. First vintage: 2008. Ageing potential: up to 3–5 years.
Tasting profile
The 2024 is a lively ruby red. Its elegant aroma centres on red fruit, particularly cherry, with nuances of wax and incense. The palate is balanced, savoury and dry, ending with good persistence.
