Storia
Tenuta Villanova was founded in 1499 and is described as the oldest wine estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The estate states that its commitment to making quality wines has continued without interruption, even in the most difficult years and through the most painful events in history.
The estate is a complete architectural complex and an example of historic rural architecture. It includes spaces once used as living quarters and for farming, winemaking and distilling. Workers often lived on the farm with their families; their lives were tied to the land and the estate, in a small, self-contained community that gave them stability.
Today
The winery is managed by Francesca Grossi. Her brother Alberto, long the keeper of the company's history, chose to entrust her with the strategic direction, vision and management of the company. These responsibilities are now also shared with her team.

Filosofia
The estate says its commitment to making quality wines has never faded or been interrupted. Francesca Grossi is inspired by everything created through dedication, care and passion, and holds that running a historic estate comes with a strong sense of responsibility to its past. The stated goal is a level of craftsmanship that gradually becomes an art. She and her team work on several fronts to give the estate and its terroir the care they deserve, with what the estate calls an extra touch of femininity from Francesca.
