About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the hills of Castagnito and Magliano Alfieri, with a smaller contribution from Barbaresco. The Castagnito and Magliano Alfieri sites range in exposure from east to west, while the Barbaresco vines face east. The soils are marly, combining limestone and sand. Plantings date from 1967 to 2002.

Grapes

Predominantly Nebbiolo with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc.

Ageing

The wine matures for a few months in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting profile

A fragrant red defined by youthful fruit and floral aromas. Its fresh, savoury character and immediately approachable style make it suitable for a broad range of occasions.

Label / history

This expression of Nebbiolo originated after the acquisition in 2016 of a vineyard in Magliano Alfieri, on the left bank of the Tanaro River.
