About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from the westernmost hills of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio in Alba, an area described as the “Terra di mezzo”—a middle ground where Nebbiolo cannot carry the Barbaresco or Barolo denomination. The vineyards face east and were planted between 1968 and 2012. Their marly soils are predominantly limestone, crossed by veins of sand.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Ageing

The wine matures for approximately eight months in oak casks, followed by around four months of bottle ageing.

Label / history

The first vintage was vinified in 2007 from grapes grown on the western side of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio.
