The Nebbiolo is grown in Barolo, whose wines are regarded as the "royal" wines of Piedmont.
Vinification
Made by the traditional method for dry red wines.
Ageing
Aged for at least 3 years, including 2 years on the fine lees in oak or chestnut barrels.
Serving and pairing
Decanting for an hour before serving is recommended. It pairs with roasts, braised meats, game and aged cheeses.

Balbi Soprani is a Piedmont producer of still and sparkling wines, run by the Capetta family. In Italy its wines are sold exclusively in restaurants and wine bars.
