About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Friuli Grave, between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The region is named for its gravelly alluvial soils, which are stony, rich in limestone and exceptionally well drained. The soils absorb heat during the day and release it at night, helping the grapes ripen while maintaining an even mesoclimate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at maximum ripeness, sorted and gently pressed. The juice ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine rests in stainless-steel tanks before filtration and bottling.
Tasting profile
Fresh, with a complex varietal character and a bright, distinctive profile.
Vintage notes
The 2020 winter in Friuli-Venezia Giulia was very mild, without sudden temperature changes. Spring and summer were favourable. Several periods of intense heat in August did not adversely affect the good yields. The region’s white wines showed the complex varietal character and bright individuality associated in the description with a warm vintage.
