About this wine
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese, carefully selected from the oldest vineyards.
Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with 25–30 days of skin maceration at controlled temperature. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place in truncated-conical Slavonian oak vats.
Aging: approximately 30–36 months in 10–32 hl Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 6 months in bottle.
Release: January of the fifth year after harvest.
Characteristics: deep ruby-red colour with garnet highlights. Persistent aromas of red fruit and vanilla. Harmonious, structured and markedly tannic on the palate, with a very persistent finish.
Food pairings: roast red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Bottle formats: 0.375 L, 0.75 L, 1.5 L and 3 L.
