About this wine
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese, carefully selected from the oldest vineyards and used only in the best harvests.
Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with 30–35 days of skin maceration at controlled temperature. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place in truncated-conical Slavonian oak vats.
Aging: approximately 36–40 months in 10–25 hl Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 15 months in bottle.
Release: January of the sixth year after harvest.
Characteristics: deep, strong and lively ruby-red colour. Very intense and complex aromas of red fruit, jam, liquorice and spices, with further development expected over time. The palate has pronounced acidity and tannins balanced by softness and an extremely persistent finish.
