Carraia

La Carraia was founded in 1988 through collaboration between the Gialletti family, winegrowers from Orvieto, and the Cotarella family.

The vineyards around Orvieto include mainly volcanic soils rich in stones, together with clay, sand and limestone.

The winery describes its work as responsible and sustainable.

Traditional and modern techniques are used according to the wine. Red wines are made to preserve ripe fruit, spice and soft tannins; white wines retain freshness and mineral character.
