About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from a 2.50 ha estate vineyard on the Cannubi hill in Barolo. The site is sheltered from wind and cold by the surrounding hills. Its predominantly Tortonian soils contain sand and marl with a significant limestone component, including Marne di Sant’Agata Fossili. This combination supports aromatic intensity and a balance between elegance and power. Part of Tenuta Carretta’s Cannubi holding has been productive since 1958.
