About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards of the family-owned Tenuta Talamonti estate lie at 300 metres above sea level near the medieval village of Loreto Aprutino. They have distinctive soils and a particular microclimate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, usually in mid-September. After destemming and crushing, they undergo cold maceration in stainless-steel tanks, followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation lasts 12 days at a controlled temperature of 16 °C.
Tasting profile
Fresh and lightly mineral.
Label / history
The wine belongs to the “Diversitas” range, which celebrates Abruzzo’s biodiversity. Its name refers to the orso bruno, the Marsican brown bear that serves as the symbol of Abruzzo National Park. Native to Central Italy and genetically distinct from Alpine bears, this rare subspecies has a population of only around 50 in the park and its surrounding area, according to recent scientific research. The wine is certified vegan by Just Vegan.
