About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate owns vineyards in Barbaresco and Verduno. Barbaresco is the centre for vinification and maturation, while bottling and subsequent cellar ageing take place in Verduno.
Vinification
Barbaresco is made in a traditional manner, fermenting in open vats at the Barbaresco winery. Careful bunch selection at harvest and calibrated maceration form part of the estate’s low-intervention approach.
Ageing
The wine undergoes extended maturation in large oak casks in Barbaresco. It is then bottled at Verduno and rests in the castle’s historic cellars until release.
